Williamsburg was prepared for Hurricane Irene

Irene was expected to leave a big chaos and flooding in New York City and large shore areas of New Jersey and Brooklyn. Williamsburg businesses and residents were prepared in time. Streets close to the East River were evacuated, which might have had caused some family reunions.
